Timothy HormerTrustworthy doesn’t even begin to describe Tony. I’ve been bringing all of our vehicles to his shop for 22 years, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Very reasonably priced. He used to be located in SE Portland, and I still drive from Southeast Portland to see him because his shop can dial in an alignment better than the computerized machines at the dealership. That says everything. Don’t be surprised if he starts asking detailed questions when you call to book an appointment, that’s just who he is. More than once he’s diagnosed an issue over the phone just by asking the right routine questions. For example, I thought I needed an alignment, but after talking it through, he helped me realize it was actually a tire issue. He saved me time, money, and an unnecessary service. That level of honesty is rare. -

— JBrought in my 2012 Toyota Sienna because of toe wear knowing my lower control arms were shot and my CV joints were making noise when making sharp turns. Tony got me in less than an hour and Jeremy started the inspection. Jeremy quickly assessed that an alignment would make no difference until I got the other parts repaired. They got me in the next day and I stated that I needed my minivan back the same day. Even though they closed at 5pm, they ran into problems removing the right CV axle and at 10:17pm Tony called letting me know my Sienna was ready to go. I’ve never had a shop work 5 hours after close to make sure I got my vehicle back. Tony has over 50 years and Jeremy 35 years of experience. These guys are the mechanics of yesterday that you could ever hope to have work on your vehicle. Honest diagnosis, no predatory sales, and guys who repair knowing you’re placing you and your family’s safety in their hands. 110% recommended.
This place is amazing. I have a 1974 pickup, and I've had these fellas do all of the chassis work that I've been too preoccupied or ill equipped to handle myself. I just brought it for an alignment job following a control arm replacement, and it proved to be a bit challenging. My steering gear is a bit worn(i.e. loose), which is an inconvenience to getting the alignment correct. I felt it was a little bit off, so I brought it back a second time. Chris spent nearly 3 hours getting it spot on perfect for me. With saintly patience, he readjusted it through 5 nitpicking test rides by me, and did not charge anything additional for the added effort that was required. This is not the first time these guys have shown such solid integrity. Thanks Kalberer crew!
